Referees
Referee certification is conducted under the auspices of US Soccer. Administration of the program is delegated to the youth and adult National State Associations, VYSA and MDCVSA respectively. The state associations jointly appoint the members of the State Referee Committee (SRC) to include the State Referee Administrator (SRA), SRC Chair, State Director of Instruction (SDI) and State Director of Assessments (SDA).
Classes are schedule under the direction of the SDI. The current schedule of classes is available on Metro-DC State Referee Program website. Classes are posted at the time of approval, therefore return to the website frequently if a class is not available in a particular area. Typically, classes are scheduled in between soccer seasons.
