The VSL has established a communication structure for the league.
Parents are to address questions to their coach, manager, or club representative.
Coaches and Managers are to address questions to their club representative.
Except in the case of an emergency, the Administrator must limit his/her interactions to:

VSL committee chairpersons
VSL Weather Hotline – Teams are to contact their Club Rep with all questions.
Call the VSL Hotline for game day information such as cancellations and/or reschedules. The VSL Administrator maintains the VSL Hotline. Except in the case of an emergency, the Administrator must limit his/her interactions to:

The association operates an answering machine 24 hours a day at 757-588-1619.

The Administrator is available extra hours on game days when weather conditions warrant. If you cannot reach us on the office numbers, please leave a message. Please wait for the tone to leave your name, number and any message. Please speak numbers slowly and spell out unusual names and place names. Dawn, or three hours before 1st game:
· Club rep determines field conditions and contacts VSL Administrator if needed.
· Club rep notifies all coaches with home games of any changes and/or cancellations
· Home team coaches notify visitors that fields are closed and/or changes are necessary. Those coaches in turn notify their teams.
Two hours before 1st game:
· The Club makes the rainout decision and notifies the Administrator
· VSL Administrator notifies referee assignors. -
. Clubs are not to contact the referee assignor directly.
· All rescheduling is done by VSL Administrator.
